It's been at least a week since I've last appeared in a place I shouldn't have, so I believe that's an improvement. I'm doing well enough.

I'm almost never busy. Really should fix that sometime, but it's a work in progress, you know?

[Perhaps Ryan had been woken at first by a few of Oren's playful grabs as he tried to stand, but the prince had soon realized that he wasn't dealing with a morning person. His attempts were abandoned as he squirmed away. (Honestly it took a good few minutes to get out of the damn bed, for various reasons.)

Thirty minutes or so passed as Oren paced the kitchen, trying to decide what he should make.

It's after those thirty minutes that he actually tries to start something, and that's when the noises begin. They're innocent at first, small sounds of cabinets, drawers and the fridge opening and closing again, footsteps, silverware. But they grow worrying quickly enough. There's a loud clatter of pans, a curse from Oren, and the stove that had been clicking without break starts suddenly in a loud burst that causes a whole new assortment of fumbling clatters and thumps.

It also smells like gas.]

[Oh, he'd been woken, all right. It just didn't get him out of bed-- instead, when Oren had started to get up, Ryan had curled closer and buried his face against him with a pathetic sound and an unintelligible mumble that was probably asking him to just stay here and sleep.

He dozes off again, and the noises slowly begin to pull him back out of sleep, dragging him groggily into awareness again as he continues to try to justify to himself just why he should stay in bed-- he's just about to pull the pillow over his face when he hears that loud burst of sound, and that gets him up like a shot, stumbling blearily into the kitchen in an oversized nightshirt.]

What the hell was-- oh. Oh my god, turn that off-!

[Bare, webbed feet slap against the floor as he rushes to the stove and quickly shuts it off, nudging Oren out of the way if he has to, and with that crisis hopefully averted he slumps against the counter. Ryan looks like a mess, honestly, his curly hair frizzed out in random directions, glasses askew, eyes still not quite fully open.]

Okay, don't. Light. Anything.

[Seeing this is both relieving and incredibly worrying. He's apologizing. So he hadn't meant it, or did he regret it? Was there really something wrong? Should he have approached him before this?

Perhaps he should go to him now. Respond to the message with something eager. But what if nothing's changed? There's lingering worry and doubt, but one question rises before the others.]

I see that you are talking to Vengarl. That man is incredibly violent and senseless, and he has made threats that have unnerved Hans. We just spoke about this the other day.

It started in February when we were still new arrivals. Some mysterious force wished for us to sacrifice virgins, else burn to death, and from what I can tell, Hans sacrificed Vengarl. From there, things have been ugly, and though Hans may have technically instigated back then, Vengarl seems to relish the excuse to lash out at him every chance he gets.

As for the threats made, Hans told me he has threatened the theater, and those close to him.

I do not know you well enough to know what you might be planning, if anything, but I do urge you to be cautious around this beast. In person, he is... massive.
